Did You Know?

Exploring Matters of the Heart

with Terry-Ann Scott

We all need to be reminded that whenever we pray and God begins to come to us and to address our issues, things may get bad before it gets good. Not every storm is of the devil. In fact, God works in the opposite way at times. Some storm is actually the manifestation of God coming to our rescue (read St. John 6).

This scenario is fulfilled in a similar fashion as last weeks's series. If you are praying for patience, you are going to get many more opportunities where you need to exercise patience and if you are asking God to teach you to trust him more, you may find yourself in situations you wished never existed. Do not be quick to blame the devil because your problems can be a gold mind in disguise - it may very well be the hidden answer to your prayers that you have been waiting for. Problems are sometimes the beginning of answered prayers so buckle up and get serious. I guess the real question here is how badly do you want it?

"The darkest part of the night is when day is going to light".

"Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning" (Psalm 30:5).
