Back then in bible days when Jesus was born, he was given gold, frankincense and mere which were considered valuable gifts; but the best gift that anyone can ever give God today is their ENTIRE heart - not just a part, but all of it.

This would then mean that our life is no longer our own but his so we are expected to live how he wants us to live and to do what he wants us to do. By giving him your heart, obedience to God becomes a strong requirement while remaining pure and true to him.

This is truly God's desire - for us to obey his word, to live our lives for him and unto him according to HIS will.
