Marriage can be quiet complex. Just think about it...men and women were made equally opposites! Women react based on how they feel and men react based on what they see. So a man may be aroused, satisfied and contented by what he sees his wife doing (for him) but a woman will only feel loved and aroused by how her husband makes her feel. If he does everything right but fails to take care of her emotionally, she will never be satisfied.

It is said that, "A woman will give sex to get love and a man will give love to get sex". Though we are different in many ways, I believe God made it that way to further prepare us for his kingdom. Marriage is intended to be an unselfish institution - one that reflects love, and selflessness is a requirement for every believer. We are required to die daily to self or the flesh and what greater way to develop this lifestyle than to practice with your spouse within your marriage?

If you are willing to give up self daily for your spouse, if you are willing to make sacrifices and do even the things you despise for the sake of love then you are well on your journey into the kingdom if you are willing to apply these same principles to those around you.

I implore you today, do not live for yourself only, but live for others daily. That is what God did; he denied himself and his kingdom just for you and I.
