I’m sure we are all familiar with the famous quote, “not everything that glitter is gold’, and the same principle holds true in many different ways. Every coin has two sides, every story has two versions, everything that looks real is not real and not every sign or word is from God.

If we do not learn to discern between good and evil, right and wrong, truth from lies and God ways from our ways, we will be in trouble.

We are living in a fallen world with a lot of deception around us and this is no time to be gullible. The bible teaches us to try every spirit and this is something that should be a part of our nature by default. Not every spirit is of God and not every one that says God means God. So too the reality remains, not every opportunity is from God and everything that seem right in our eyes, is not always right. The bible tells us that there is a way that seems right to a man but at the end is destruction. The devil has the power to appear in any form he chooses even as an ‘angel of light’ so I can’t stress this enough….discern discern discern, and beware of deception. That’s his ultimate goal to deceive, distract and detour or to kill, steal and destroy.

My encouragement to you is in all your ways, acknowledge him and allow him to direct your path. Do not judge things by the way it appears to be in the natural, pray for the spirit of discernment and learn to see things through the eyes of the spirit. Do not judge a book by its cover but rather by the contents written within. Sensual wisdom and Spiritual wisdom has its place, but seek the latter. Forget about what you think and embrace God’s standards.
