Personal Reflections - Hidden Truths

Exploring Matters of the Heart

with Terry-Ann Scott

One of the hardest lessons I have learnt in life (and is still learning) is to control my mind. By that I mean to develop a conscious awareness of where my mind is and what it is doing (the thoughts i'm reflecting on) at all times.

It is a dangerous thing to lose mental awareness and clarity of our own thoughts because this signifies how subtle the devil can distract and engage us into things that are contrary to God's word.

Have you ever been talking to someone and you respond without even realizing what you are agreeing to until you finally awake to the consciousness of the conversation? Maybe you would even go as far as denying your response or begin to question the persons judgement when it was truly and error on your part.

Maybe its more like you sitting in a room dazed just staring and when you catch up on yourself you can't even pinpoint what you were thinking about.

If this is you, you need to regain control of your mind that the devil will not be able to use your mind as bait to deceive you. There are demonic spirits that are present and anxiously awaits the perfect opportunity to destroy us. The church is in a deep sleep where it has loss spiritual consciousness to what is happening around us. This loss of consciousness have retracted the power of God from moving the way he intends to as believers constantly lie in blindness. It is now our responsibility to arise and to take control of our territory.

If you are not in control of your mind, then who is? If you are not aware of what your mind is doing it means that you are susceptible to evil forces. I implore you by the grace of God to gird up the loins of your mind and be sober.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Know where your mind is and know what your mind is doing at all times. May God bless you always!
