A few weeks ago after giving my children an early bath, they headed outside to play. They looked so nice and clean - so of course - I did not want them to get dirty. As I made sometime to watch them I saw them heading to a dirt area so I told them to play else where. My eldest got up but still decided to used his foot and play in the dirt so I asked him politely - though I was irritated - if he did not hear me when I spoke. Sure enough he heard me, but thought I was more interested with him not getting his clothes dirty hence his attempt to use his slipper to play within that area.

As I tried to be understanding, I realized right there and then that we behave similarly with God on a regular basis.

How many times has he freed us from worry, anxiety, a mess up life , you name it and we find ourselves entangled again in the same situation? How many times have God taken us, dress us and fix us up and we mess things up? How many times have God cleaned us up and we lure our way right back into the thing which he has saved us from? It could be fear, theft, lying, mental fogginess or confusion, absent mindedness, anger, un-forgiveness ...it does not matter. When God saves you, takes you out of something and fixes you up, it becomes your responsibility to maintain your deliverance.

It may not be easy folks, it is a fight. But be aware, be alert and stay focused. Your destiny is in your hands, not God's hands alone; it's your responsibility!
