Life is full of surprises and with some of those surprise comes pain. Sometimes we try to seek the easy way out, but what we see as easy can become troublesome after a while.

So OK. Your boss or someone close just does not 'get you' and its a pain to feel left out so you come up with this 'brilliant' idea to capture attention - you know ... to show you are a cool person etc etc, but your little gesture fails miserably. Maybe you have a fear of being alone or rejected so what do you do? You try to get people to like you and to be on your team. Well, while wanting to be accepted may be normal, it can become a burdensome task walking around trying to please everyone to get approvals.

Love, acceptance and approval may be deemed as necessary, but it is important to remember that at the end of the day you need God's approval even more.

It makes no sense to do all the wrong things just to get someone to accept you and become a cast out in the eyes of God. God's approval is far more greater than the approval of any man. If you can please God and be in right standing with him then you will be in right standing with others also. They don't have to like you for it, but you will know to do what is right and the truth will set you free.

Recognition is keen but whom do you seek to please? It is better to be recognized by God than to be recognized by man and become an out cast to the Kingdom of God because you can be recognized by man but still not recognized by God. In all you do, ensure God is pleased because he is the final judge and has the final say to your final destination, heaven or hell.

Make that conscious decision today to please God.
