Love is the greatest commandement ever, that every true child of God should seek to fulfill. Galation 5:14 says; "all the law is fulfilled in this that we love one another". When I reflect on this thought, it becomes obvious why this is the greatest commandement, as Christ gave his life for us out of love. The scripture teaches that God is love and i'll therefore declare, to love is God and to love takes God.

The love that man has will fail, it has an end, it is conditional but God's love will never fail. Our love seeks selfish gains and unrealistic returns and whenever these are not met, our love tends to cease or fail. This is why we can never truely love without allowing God to love through us. We do this by accepting him as our Lord and Saviour and then by practicing to keep the needs of others close to our hearts and explore ways in which we can help not destroy. This act of love holds the greatest testimony of Christ as we become practical in bringing Christ to them with our kind deeds. Love does cover a multitude of sins and if we get this love issue right, we would save ourselves and others from so much heartache and pain. Life would become so much simplier and easier and this world would become a better place.

Romans 8:8 tells us that "flesh cannot please God", and I therefore gurantee that as we begin to mortify the deeds of the flesh by esteeming others as important as ourselves, this love, God, will be seen in us.

There is no love that can be compared to the love of God. There is nothing we can do or say to make him stop loving us. He died on that cross for me before I even knew him. While I was still a sinner he died and is now risen. His love is unconditional. He looks beyond our faults and sees our needs and loves us still. How many of us could do that? We often see the faults and more faults of people without even recognizing their needs.

I challenge you, the next time someone talks about you, critizes you, or hurt you in any way, just reflect on God's love and strive to do that which is right. Love as God loves; love until it hurts. This is the best way we can strive to please God and touch his heart; by fulfilling the greatest commandment in history, "To love one another as Christ loves us". Are you willing? Do you want to touch him? Do you want more of him? Ask him to help you love as he loves, he is just a prayer away.

Charity =Love

Here are the fruits of love. Do you have it?

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself; is not puffed up, Doth not behave unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity; but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never fails. (1 Cor. 13: 4-8)
