from the series ""The Greatest Lessons ever Learnt"
(based on a personal compilation about life).
With all the pressures and demands that life brings, walking around and trying to gain approval from everyone is the last thing you need.
In this case scenario, I have come to realize that there are three (3) types of people; some you can please, some you'll sometimes please and some you'll never please. All three cases have one thing in common and it is that you will never be able to please everyone at all times.
I believe that the three (3) main hindrances for( normal genuine) people to reveal their true self is that they sense a need to protect themselves from the fear of criticism, the fear of rejection or the fear of hurt.
Others may refer to people who are like this as being 'thin skinned' or not 'normal', but what I really see is people who have been through a lot in the pass and needs a little extra TLC to give them a 'PUSH' again in life.
With all that being said, if you know someone who needs to loosen up a bit, shower them with love and give them added assurance to help them make the steps needed.
Or, if you are like this you might as well remove your mask, let your hair down, loosen up a bit, take some risk and live a little because whether you are loose or uptight, you will not have everyone's approval but you can guarantee, while some people won't always like you, there are some who will definitely love you. Instead of focusing on those who do not like you, love them still but draw from the one's who love you. That seems like the better choice to me. Be yourself; move pass the negatives and embrace the love. Life's worth living!
