I find it interesting how while we look for happiness or a fresh start, our long time companion i'll refer to as "baggage", decides to tag along. Before anyone can 'turn that new leaf' or 'start that new chapter', our loyal dedicated deciever - baggage, cannot come along.

Baggage are those painful memories of the past. They are unwanted memories of hurts re-lived each day; empty and wasted reminders with deadly returns.

It is never easy to endure a lost love, an abusive relationship, a broken marriage, a stressful situation or any 'fiery trial', but the negative effects of any or all of these can result in a wounded heart, heavy burdens and lost hope. Life can never be viewed clearly from this position and if you are not careful the rest may lead to a disaster.

Hebrews 12:1 exhorts us to lay aside every weight and sin which doth so eaisliy beset us. Walking arround with anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment or anything of this sort is a sin and becomes a burden to us. If we choose to move forward any at all with our lives as we ought to, the hurts and pains of our past needs to stay behind. While we may remember our situation or be reminded by our scars, we should never allow it to affect our present and dictate our furture. If you ask if this can be done the answer is yes and you do this by making the choice to not let your past affect you anymore nor determine the outcome of your present or future.

Ask God to give you the strength to face these challenges and he will. Problems are created to make us better not bitter, they are designed to make us wiser and stronger.

Your past is a reality, it cannot be changed or undone but you now have the power to shape your future with the decisions you make from this point forward.

Do not allow a bad relationship to ruin a future love, or a bad experience to prevent you from having a good one. Be prepared to take risks. Shake off the fears of the past and be willing and ready to take another bold step in life's face. Lay aside your baggae and try again. Do not allow the fears of your past to dictate your future. Put your past behind and start shaping your future. You are valuable and special no matter what. Act like it! The freedom you'll experience will be worth living for.

"Keep your heart with all deligence for out of it flows the issues of life". Majority of what we go through is a reflection of the decisions we make in life.

Act wisely!
